Abstract:
A method for calculating a safety coefficient of a foundation pit excavation slope, comprising the following steps: firstly, vertically dividing sliding mass of a foundation pit excavation slope into blocks; secondly, determining a down-sliding force of each block and a normal pressure of the bottom of each block according to a force balancing condition, calculating an anti-sliding force of each block according to a value of the normal pressure by using a Mohr-Coulomb strength formula, and determining a local instability coefficient of each block by using a ratio of the down-sliding force to the anti-sliding force; then, sequentially selecting a block having a maximum local instability coefficient from among the blocks having local instability coefficients greater than 1, transferring the weight of the block to the next block in a sliding direction, and iterating in this way until the local instability coefficients of the remaining blocks are all less than 1; and finally, synthesizing the ratios of the anti-sliding forces and the down-sliding forces of these blocks, i.e., obtaining the safety coefficient of the sliding mass that when a progressive failure process is considered. The safety coefficient calculated by the method is reasonable, accurate and intuitive, and the accuracy of slope safety evaluation is improved.
