Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for causing a gene to be expressed in a C/EBPα-, C/EBPβ-, C/EBPδ- or p53-dependent manner and a method for inhibiting or determining a transcription induction ability of C/EBPα, C/EBPβ, C/EBPδ or p53, in each of which a partial sequence of human decorin promoter is used. Also disclosed is DNA for use in the above-mentioned methods. The DNA comprises a nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:3, a nucleotide sequence produced by substituting or deleting one or more nucleotides in the nucleotide sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:3, or a nucleotide sequence capable of hybridizing with any one of the above-mentioned nucleotide sequences under stringent conditions, and has a function to regulate the transcription induction ability of C/EBPα, C/EBPβ, C/EBPδ or p53.
