Abstract:
A method for charging and discharging a battery, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: manufacturing a battery by combining a battery case and battery electrodes and injecting an electrolyte into the battery case; and activating the battery by inputting a pulsed charging current and a pulsed discharging current to the battery electrodes, wherein one period of the pulsed charging current includes a first time and a second time that is less than or equal to the first time, one period of the pulsed discharging current includes a third time and a fourth time that is less than or equal to the third time, the battery is charged during the first time by the pulsed charging current, the charging of the battery is stopped during the second time, the battery is discharged during the third time by the pulsed discharging current, and the discharging of the battery is stopped during the fourth time.
