Abstract:

Disclosed are a method for circuit switched fallback and a terminal, which are used for shortening a search time of a circuit switched fallback process so as to improve a success rate of circuit switched fallback. The method in the embodiments of the present application comprises: a terminal acquiring an a priori frequency point; the terminal searching for a cell that satisfies a residence condition according to the a priori frequency point; and if the terminal finds a cell that satisfies the residence condition within a preset duration, the terminal residing in the cell corresponding to the a priori frequency point.
