Abstract:
The invention relates to a strip connecting device (1) and a method for connecting a first strip to a second strip in order to provide a continuous strip. In the strip connecting device (1) according to the invention, when the first strip is conveyed uninterruptedly, an end portion of the first strip is connected to the starting portion of the second strip via an adhesive connection by means of a liquid, in particular water, arranged in a connecting portion. The invention further relates to a method for connecting two strips, a processing system and a use of a method. The strip connecting device (1) according to the invention and the method can be used in particular for the uninterrupted provision of a security strip for a security document such as a banknote.
