Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for constructing a water-expandable waterstop for preventing slurry wall water leakage and a structure for constructing same. The method for constructing a water-expandable waterstop for preventing slurry wall water leakage according to the present invention comprises: a first step of forming preceding panels at a predetermined interval so as to form a slurry wall; a second step in which, when constructing following panels after the preceding panels are completely formed at a predetermined interval, preceding panel concrete cast surfaces are processed at construction joint portion locations by using excavation equipment such that both sides of the following panels are overcut by 110mm; and a third step of forming the following panels between the preceding panels such that construction joints between the preceding panels and the following panels are joined. The third step comprises: a water-expandable waterstop attachment step of attaching water-expandable waterstops tightly to both sides of a following panel rebar cage for forming the following panels; a following panel rebar cage insertion step of inserting the following panel rebar cage having water-expandable waterstops attached thereto between preceding panels such that the water-expandable waterstops are positioned in overcut sections; and a concrete casting step of casting concrete after inserting the following panel rebar cage, thereby forming following panels.
