Abstract:

Disclosed is a method for preventing the photofading of a carotenoid dye without the need of adding any stabilizer or the like which may cause the change in texture or flavor or the increase in irritation. Also disclosed is a container utilizing the method for preventing the color fading. Further disclosed is a method for storing a food, a beverage, a functional food, a preparation for external application, a cosmetic, a quasi drug or a pharmaceutical preparation by using the container. A carotenoid dye is stored in a container of which the mean transmittance of spectra having wavelengths of 535 to 695 nm is 0.01 to 45.0%.
