Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for controlling an access point (hereinafter, "AP") which relays a wireless LAN signal and, more particularly, to a control method for updating the location information of an AP which provides a location information signal. Specifically, in the present invention, when an AP transmits information on a location where the AP itself is installed, even if the location where the AP is installed is changed, the AP may detect the change and then either update, by itself, the AP's own location information configured therein according to the changed installation location or control a user to update the information. Accordingly, the present invention can maximize the reliability of the location information transmitted by the AP, thereby achieving a highest improved quality for the location identification service using the Wi-Fi signal transmitted by the AP can be obtained.
