A method for controlling an aircraft 1, the method comprising causing the aircraft 1, which is provided with a power storage device 7 and a power generation device 5 having a solar cell, to take off and/or rise by causing the power storage device 7 to discharge power at a discharge rate higher than the discharge rate when the aircraft 1 is flying through designated airspace and supplementing the electric power generated by the power generation device 5.
