Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method of controlling an application execution, a method of determining whether to execute an application, and a computer-readable recording medium having a program to execute the same. The method according to one of the embodiments of the present invention is a method of controlling the execution of a specific application installed in a terminal which includes an open platform including a security application and a security library. The method includes: a step in which a security library inquires to a security application about whether to execute the specific application when the security library receives a call for a specific function requested by the specific application; a step in which the security application determines whether the specific application is registered in a permission list; a step in which the security application determines using a blockage rule whether to execute the specific function when the specific application is not registered in the permission list; and a step in which the security library blocks the execution of the specific function when the specific function is included in the blockage rule.
