Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device comprising: a display; at least one sensor; a processor; and a memory operatively connected to the display, the at least one sensor, and the processor, wherein the processor: displays an execution screen of a first application among multiple applications installed in the electronic device on the display in a state in which the multiple applications are executed; detects, through the at least one sensor, a first user input made without contact with the electronic device; displays, on a designated area of the display on the basis of the detected first user input, a first user interface related to control of a second application that is being executed in the background, among the multiple applications; detects a second user input through the at least one sensor; changes, on the basis of the detected second user input, the first user interface to a second user interface related to control of a third application that is being executed in the background, among the multiple applications; and controls the third application on the basis of a third user input when the third user input is detected through the at least one sensor. Various other embodiments inferred from the present document are also possible.
