A control device (50) for controlling the drive of a brushless motor (3) configured with four poles and 24 slots, the control device (50) having: a fundamental-current calculation unit (52) for calculating a fundamental-wave current indicating a coil-current value due to maximum torque control; a correction component calculation unit (59) for calculating, on the basis of a phase-current value detected by a current sensor (64), a first harmonic component of 12th-order Bsin12 (θ+β) for offsetting a torque ripple due to magnet torque, and a second harmonic component of 12th-order Asin12 (θ+α) for offsetting a torque ripple due to reluctance torque; a correction map (58) in which the relat ionship between the phase current and parameters A, B, α, β for both harmonic components is stored; and a current correction unit (60) for correcting a supply current by superposing each of the 12th-order harmonic components on the fundamental-wave current to create current command values Id', Iq'.
