Abstract:
It is clarified that a myeloid leukemia factor MLF1 has a potent ability to regulate cell proliferation. Using this function, the expression dose of the MLF1 protein is altered or the function of the expressed MLF1 protein is controlled in cells the proliferation of which is to be controlled. More specifically speaking, to regulate the cell proliferation, the expression dose of the MLF1 protein in the cells is elevated. To promote the cell proliferation, the expression dose of the MLF1 protein in the cells is lowered or the function of the above-described MLF1 protein expressed in the cells is regulated or inhibited. This method is applicable in various fields such as drug discovery, medical treatments and studies.
