Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of terminals. Provided are a method for controlling a frame rate of a camera, and an electronic device. The method is used for separately controlling image output frame rates of a main camera and an auxiliary camera in a combined imaging scenario of a plurality of cameras. In a photographic preview stage, the auxiliary camera outputs an image at a lower image output frame rate than that of the main camera, such that power loss is reduced; and during photographic imaging, the auxiliary camera increases the image output frame rate and then outputs an image at the same image output frame rate as that of the main camera, such that the imaging quality is guaranteed. Therefore, power loss during combined imaging of the plurality of cameras is reduced without affecting the photographing effect.
