Abstract:

Provided are a method of cooling control for a thick steel plate, a cooling control device, and a method of producing a thick steel plate, which make it possible to accurately adjust an up/down water ratio and suitably prevent C-warping of a thick steel plate during cooling of the thick steel plate. This method of cooling control for a thick steel plate comprises: an up/down water ratio determination step (step S1) for determining an up/down water ratio with respect to a thick steel plate (S) to be cooled such that a C-warping amount δ and/or curvature k of the thick steel plate (S) to be cooled is within a target permissible range, on the basis of operating conditions for a past thick steel plate (S), an up/down water ratio with respect to a past thick steel plate (S) when cooling under the operating conditions of the past thick steel plate (S) had been implemented, and a C-warping amount δ and/or curvature k of a past thick steel plate (S) as measured at a shape measurement instrument (7) arranged at an outgoing side of a cooling zone (4) when cooling under the operating conditions of the past thick steel plate (S) had been implemented; and a cooling water amount adjustment step (step S2) for adjusting an amount of cooling water being sprayed onto the thick steel plate S so as to reach the up/down water ratio determined in the up/down water ratio determination step (step S1).
