Abstract:
A method, corresponding network unit and communication system for implementing switch in the first layer within domain in connection with automatic retransmission technology in packet network are provided. Wherein, the said terminal switches from the first network unit to the third network unit in the case that the connection information and the security information keep invariable, and the first network unit and the third network unit are controlled by the second network unit, the second network unit determines that the first and third network units support the first security mode or the second security mode during switch preparation phase. The method includes: if the second network unit determines that the first and third network units support the first security mode, the second network unit sends the first message used for notifying information about the terminal to the third network unit during the switch preparation phase; after the terminal switched to the third network unit, the second network unit sends the second message used for indicating unconfirmed packets which need to be transmitted repeatedly to the terminal via the third network unit; and after the terminal received the second message, the terminal sends unconfirmed packets to the second network unit via the third network unit based on the index included in the second message.
