Abstract:
An estimation model capable of highly accurately estimating an objective variable of a sample whose actual measurement is unknown by means of multiple regression analysis for objectives variable which are numerically continuous numbers. To create an estimation model based on the multiple regression analysis, an initial sample set is structured of learning samples whose actual measurement of the objective variable is known. The initial sample set is multiple-regression-analyzed to obtain an initial multiple regression equation. A residual value of each learning sample is calculated based on the initial multiple regression equation. Each learning sample is divided into a plurality of groups based on the residual value. An appropriate group multiple regression equation is determined for each group. The determined group multiple regression equation is set as an estimation model of the sample whose objective variable is unknown.
