Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for decomposing a phenolic byproduct, the decomposing method comprising the steps of: (S10) supplying the phenolic byproduct to a reactive multistage distillation column; (S20) separating the phenolic byproduct through the reactive multistage distillation column into an upper discharge stream containing an effective ingredient, a side discharge stream containing acetophenone, and a lower discharge stream containing tar; and (S30) mixing the side discharge stream discharged from the reactive multistage distillation column and the lower discharge stream discharged from the reactive multistage distillation column to form a mixed discharge stream.
