Abstract:
A method of efficiently decomposing polyamides which have been difficult to decompose, such as water-insoluble high-molecular nylon, by treating the polyamide with a wood rotting basidiomycete, particularly a white rot basidiomycete, under the culturing conditions of an added nitrogen concentration of at most 0.1 g/l and/or an added carbon concentration of at most 0.2 g/l.
