Abstract:
A method for desulfurizing a marine fuel oil by using a mixed desulfurizing agent prepared for reforming a high-sulfur fuel oil (HSFO) to a low-sulfur fuel oil (LSFO), of the present invention, allows a mixed desulfurizing agent to be prepared through the steps of: (a) pulverizing illite into microparticles by means of a pulverizer; (b) injecting, into an extraction tank, a solvent and illite, which has been pulverized in step a, and pressurizing the inside of the extraction tank so that an illite substance is dissolved in the solvent and extracted (c) stopping step (a), and separating out a supernatant to prepare an illite extraction solvent; (d) injecting sodium tetraborate (Na2B4O7·10H2O) into the illite extraction solvent of step (c) and stirring same; (e) injecting sodium hydroxide (NaOH) into the product of step (d) and stirring same; and (f) injecting hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into the product of step (e) and stirring same, (g) allows an HSFO including bunker C oil to be mixed with the mixed desulfurizing agent, which has been prepared through steps (a) to (f), and be emulsified, so as to be primarily desulfurized through the neutralization reaction of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) included in the HSFO, and the mixed desulfurizing agent, and (h) allows the LSFO, obtained by primary desulfurization through step (g), and the mixed desulfurizing agent to be supplied into a marine engine through a desulfurizing agent injection system directly connected to the fuel supply system of the marine engine, and be burned, and thus sulfur oxides (SOx), generated during the internal combustion of the LSFO, immediately react with the mixed desulfurizing agent to form sulfate ion (SO4 2-), and then are precipitated as a sulfate through a neutralization reaction so that secondary desulfurization is performed.
