A detection method for analyzing the family proportion of the microRNA (miRNA) subtype in a sample. The method comprises carrying out high-throughput sequencing of sample RNAs, and then calculating the family proportion of the miRNA subtype on the basis of miRNA family information in sequencing data. The method can be used for detecting diseases, such as cancer.
