Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of terminals, and provides a method for detecting an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) card, and a terminal device. The method comprises: in a first startup setting process after a terminal device is reset, receiving a first operation inputted by a user; in response to the first operation, detecting whether there currently is eSIM card configuration information in the terminal device; and when there is the eSIM card configuration information, displaying a first startup navigation interface, wherein the first startup navigation interface comprises first prompt information, and the first prompt information is used for prompting to configure an eSIM card corresponding to the eSIM card configuration information. The terminal device detects the eSIM card configuration information, and according to a detection result of the eSIM card configuration information, provides setting guidance corresponding to an actual existence state of the eSIM card for the user, and therefore, the present application can solve the problem that the setting of the eSIM card is low in efficiency and inconvenient.
