Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a detection method and a quantification method enabling more sensitive detection with respect to methods for detecting a target nucleic acid by the PALSAR method. The present invention provides a method for collecting a target nucleic acid in a sample, the method comprising the following steps. (i) Step for bringing the target nucleic acid in the sample into contact with a capture probe and an assist probe to cause hybridization. In this step, the capture probe includes a nucleic acid probe (A) and an adaptor or linker or a solid phase (B) adjacent to the nucleotide at the 3' end or the 5' end of the nucleic acid probe. The nucleic acid probe includes a first base sequence and a second base sequence complementary to the entire sequence or a partial sequence of the target nucleic acid. The assist probe includes a sequence of a 6- to 9-mer that is complementary to the entire sequence or a partial sequence of the first base sequence of the nucleic acid probe, while being able to be linked adjacent to the target nucleic acid. (ii) Step for collecting the hybridization product contained in the sample.
