Abstract:
The present invention heightens the rate of chemical reaction of a target substance contained in a sample. The method for detecting a chemical reaction of glucose (5) contained in a sample (32) comprises the step of forming a reaction layer (3) in which the chemical reaction is caused and the step of forming, between the reaction layer (3) and the air (1), an oxygen transfer layer (2) which has higher oxygen permeability than the reaction layer (3) and by which oxygen (4) that is contained in the air (1) and is to be consumed by the chemical reaction is transferred to the reaction layer (3).
