Abstract:
A method of detecting ricin comprising the steps of (1) detecting a test compound
by bringing the test compound into contact with a detection substrate 1 on which
a compound represented by the general formula (I) is immobilized; (I) (2) detecting
the test compound by bringing the test compound into contact with a detection
substrate 2 on which a compound represented by the general formula (II) is immobilized;
(II) (3) (a) assuming that when the compound is not detected in the detection step
1, ricin 60 is not contained in the test compound; (b) assuming that when the compound
is detected in the detection step 1 and is not detected in the detection step 2,
ricin 60 is contained in the test compound; and (c) assuming that when the compound
is detected in both detection steps 1 and 2, ricin 120 is contained in the test compound.
