Abstract:
 The present invention addresses the problem of providing a bacteriolysis method for detecting whether or not Staphylococci are causing mastitis using the milk of livestock, and a detection method and detection kit comprising a lysis solution and an immunochromatographic device. Provided is a bacteriolysis method for Staphylococci that includes a step for lysing Staphylococci present in milk by mixing, in milk obtained from livestock, a lytic agent containing lytic enzymes and at least one amphoteric surfactant, and, preferably, at least one non-ionic surfactant. The lytic enzymes are preferably lysostaphin.
