Abstract:
The invention relates to an electrochemical method for determining the oxidant/antioxidant activity of substances. Said oxidant/antioxidant activity is evaluated according to the modification of oxidation-reduction potential before and after the introduction of an analysed substance in a specific solution containing a mediator pair. The concentration of oxidants/antioxidants is calculated according to an empirical formula. The mediator system can be embodied in the form of a pair of chemical elements having different valence.
