Title:
A METHOD OF DETERMINING WHETHER A SCALP IS ITCHY OR NOT, AND A METHOD OF TREATING SCALP ITCHINESS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/007235
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It provides a method of determining whether a scalp is itchy or not, comprising measuring a physiological index of the scalp, and/or microorganisms and/or their metabolites of the scalp, and/or metabolic pathway of microbial on the scalp; and comparing it/them with the counterpart(s) of normal scalp. It further provides a method of treating scalp itchiness, comprising adjusting a physiological index of the scalp, and/or microorganisms and/or their metabolites of the scalp, and/or metabolic pathway of microbial on the scalp, to obtain a normal scalp. It also provides test kit, gene chip and/or diagnose device for carrying out the method of determing whether a scalp is itchy or not, use of prebiotics, metabolites and/or ingredient for treating scalp itchiness, and personal care product containing the prebiotics, metabolites and/or ingredient.
