Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vortex tube (1) for separating air, wherein a system (3) is provided for transferring the oxygen of the air into ozone and the air is blown into the tube using a compressor (2). Due to the ozone critical temperature of -12° C, which is low relative to the critical temperatures of other components in the mixture to be separated, the separation is carried out more efficiently and using a lower pressure from the compressor. This invention may be used for increasing the oxygen content in the combustion chambers of engines.
