Abstract:

The invention relates to a method and device for bi-directional data transfer between at least two communication participants whereby data transfer is attained in one communication direction by altering a current and in another communication direction by altering a voltage. Data transfer in both communication directions to a communication path can be simultaneously in such a way that energy supply for both communications directions is maintained by means of a constant lower voltage and/or current limit or a separate energy supply for each communication participant.
