Abstract:
In a cigarette-manufacturing machine, first cigarettes (FC) and second cigarettes (RC) obtained by equally dividing double cigarettes (WC) on the basis of the filling density of cut tobacco (T) inside single cigarettes (SC) detected using a density-detecting means (38) are separated and single cigarettes are extracted. The mean weight of the first cigarettes (Wf) and the mean weight of the second cigarettes (Wr) are calculated and the cigarette weight is corrected on the basis of the mean weight of the first cigarettes and the mean weight of the second cigarettes.
