Abstract:
An image decoding method performed by means of a decoding device according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving a bitstream comprising residual information; deriving quantized transform coefficients for a current block on the basis of the residual information comprised in the bitstream; deriving transform coefficients for the current block from the quantized transform coefficients on the basis of an inverse quantization procedure; deriving residual samples for the current block by applying inverse transformation to the derived transform coefficients; and generating a reconstructed picture on the basis of the residual samples for the current block.
