Abstract:

A method and a device for decoding are provided. The decoding method mainly comprises extracting pre-index information and storing the pre-index information in a file associated with a file to be decoded or at the end of the file to be decoded, reading the pre-index information before decoding, and parallel-decoding a plurality of data segments in the file to be decoded according to the pre-index information. By using the above method to store the pre-index information, I/O operations can be effectively reduced during reading, to a certain extent, avoiding the system hanging which may be caused by the decoding.
