Abstract:
This method for detecting a vehicle loading abnormality involves: constructing in advance a relationship between a vehicle steering control value and the appropriate turning radius relative thereto as a control map (step S0); calculating the actual turning radius of the vehicle by using a self-location detection function of the vehicle (step S1); calculating the difference between the appropriate turning radius and the actual turning radius by using the control map (steps S2-S3); and determining that a loading abnormality has occurred for the cargo loaded in the vehicle when (Yes in step S4) said difference falls outside a pre-set first reference range (step S5).
