Abstract:
This method for diagnosing the remaining life of an electric device includes: installing, in the electric device, a detection sensor for detecting evaluation items which affect insulator deterioration (S1); then extracting a similar case from a "result database" in which information about an already-installed power receiving/transforming device has been stored (S2); estimating surface resistivity at the time of installing the detection sensor from a value of the similar case, and acquiring a relational expression between the number of years in use and the surface resistivity, from the estimated value and data of 0th year of the number of years in use (S3); sequentially calculating the surface resistivity with respect to the number of years in use on the basis of data acquired by the detection sensor, (S3), and a "basic experiment database" in which a correlation between the evaluation items and the surface resistivity has been stored (4); calculating the number of life years from the correlation acquired in (S4) and a prescribed threshold value (S5); and subtracting the number of years in use of the electric device at the time of installing the detection sensor from the number of life years calculated in (S5), and calculating the remaining life of the electric device (S6).
