Abstract:

Provided in an embodiment of the invention are a method and device for digital subscriber line (DSL) initialization. The method is executed by a subscriber end transceiver in a showtime line, and comprises: receiving a first notification message transmitted by a vectoring control entity (VCE), wherein the first notification message comprises first indication information indicating at least one first sequence number, and an element denoted by the at least one first sequence number in a joining uplink pilot sequence is 1 or -1; converting, according to the first notification message, a first uplink pilot sequence in a showtime line into a second uplink pilot sequence; and transmitting the second uplink pilot sequence to a central office transceiver in the showtime line. In the embodiment of the invention, a central office transceiver in a joining line is affected by less crosstalk when detecting an uplink pilot signal, thereby reducing noise, increasing a signal-to-noise ratio, and further enhancing capability of the central office transceiver in the joining line to detect a synchronous signal.
