Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and device for displaying an application icon. The method comprises: A) causing an application icon to enter a dynamic mode; B) determining a display mode for the dynamic mode of the application icon; C) obtaining information corresponding to the determined display mode; and D) displaying the information on the application icon. In the method and device for displaying an application icon according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, when an application icon enters a dynamic mode, information corresponding to a display mode of the dynamic mode is obtained and then displayed on the application icon, such that the display space of the application icon can be fully utilized, and a user can check information about the application more conveniently.
