Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for generating a thermal image, and the method for generating a thermal image according to an aspect of the present invention comprises the steps of: acquiring a high-resolution visible light image and a low-resolution thermal image which correspond to each other; detecting a boundary line of a specific object from the high-resolution visible light image; and generating a high-resolution thermal image by using the low-resolution thermal image and a result of detecting the boundary line, wherein the step of generating the high-resolution thermal image comprises the steps of: determining boundary pixels of the low-resolution thermal image, which correspond to the boundary line; and determining a boundary pixel group of the high-resolution thermal image, which corresponds to the boundary pixels, wherein: temperature values of pixels remaining after excluding the boundary pixel group from among pixels of the high-resolution thermal image are determined on the basis of temperature values of pixels of the low-resolution thermal image, which correspond to the remaining pixels; temperature values of pixels inside the specific object, which include the pixels corresponding to the boundary line, from among the boundary pixel group, are determined on the basis of temperature values of pixels located inside the specific object, which are adjacent to the boundary pixels, from among the pixels of the low-resolution thermal image; and temperature values of pixels outside the specific object from among the boundary pixel group are determined on the basis of temperature values of pixels located outside the specific object, which are adjacent to the boundary pixels, from among the pixels of the low-resolution thermal image.
