Abstract:
A method and device for identifying a target object in an image. The method comprises: extracting feature data from an image, and converting the extracted feature data into a unified expression; performing automatic clustering on features in the image according to the feature data in the unified expression and a history clustering result; for a known class comprised in the automatic clustering result, categorizing the feature as the corresponding known class, so as to identify a known target object in the image; and for an unknown class comprised in the automatic clustering result, training a classifier by means of machine learning, so as to identify an unknown target object in the image. A target object of an unknown class can be identified.
