Abstract:
An image decoding method according to the present document comprises the steps of: obtaining residual information for a current block; deriving transform coefficients for the current block on the basis of the residual information; deriving residual samples on the basis of the transform coefficients; and generating reconstruction samples on the basis of the residual samples, wherein the step of deriving transform coefficients comprises the steps of: deriving a context model for the sign flag of a current transform coefficient in the current block; decoding the value of the sign flag of the current transform coefficient on the basis of the context model; and deriving the current transform coefficient on the basis of the value of the sign flag of the current transform coefficient, wherein the context model for the sign flag of the current transform coefficient is derived on the basis of the sign flags of the previous transform coefficients.
