Abstract:
A device for increasing the diameter of a metal shaft material, comprising a drive rotating part (4) and a driven rotating part (6) opposed to each other at a specified interval, a shaft material holding part provided at each rotating part, a driving means (5) rotating the drive rotating part, a pressurizing means (8) pressing the shaft material held by the holding part in axial direction, an eccentric means (7) tilting the axis of the shaft material, whereby a linear metal shaft material or a metal tube, as a work, is gripped, at an appropriate interval D, by the pair of rotatably holding parts opposed to each other, and an axial rotation is given to the work and at least one of the rotatably holding bodies is moved in the direction to move toward the other holding body so as to return the bending for straightening the work after a collar-shaped increased diameter part has been reformed.
