Abstract:
Provided are a method and device for manufacturing an optical display device in which optical sheets are peeled sequentially and bonded to panel members, said optical film sheets being continuously supported on an elongate web-shape carrier film together with an adhesive layer. In manufacturing the optical display device, after completing bonding of a preceding optical film sheet and panel member, an operation is initiated of rolling back a carrier film, which is in a state in which the back surface is folded back inwards by a top part of a peeler configuring the tip thereof and is wound around the peeler; the tip of the optical film sheet supported on the carrier film is positioned appropriately at a prescribed feeding position upstream of the top part of the peeler; next, the tip of the optical film sheet is read, and through the action of winding the carrier film on the basis of the position information, a panel member is conveyed from the top part of the peeler to the tip of a optical film sheet where the feeding state has been formed, and the optical film sheet is bonded to one surface of the panel member.
