Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for measuring the strip mass and/or the variations in the strip mass of a running fiber assembly (FV), whereby signals of a number of sensors (11, 12; 31, 32), which record the strip mass or the variations in the strip mass, are processed with at least partially different transmission functions, and at least one defined frequency range is filtered out from the frequencies contained in the measurement signal of at least one sensor, and at least one portion of the filtered signal is used during the processing of signals of at least one other sensor. The invention also relates to a measuring device (1; 3) for measuring the strip mass and/or the variations in the strip mass of a running fiber assembly FV and to a spinning preparation machine equipped with a measuring device (1; 3) of this type.
