Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for operating a virtual power plant using bidirectional charging and discharging, wherein a method for operating a virtual power plant using bidirectional charging and discharging according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: collecting electric vehicle information from an electric vehicle charger or an electric vehicle, and electricity meter information from a consumer electricity meter of a consumer receiving supply of energy through a virtual power plant; predicting, from the collected electric vehicle information, a remaining battery capacity of the electric vehicle and an available operating time of the virtual power plant; registering the remaining battery capacity of the electric vehicle as a transaction resource on the basis of the predicted remaining battery capacity of the electric vehicle and available operating time of the virtual power plant; and comparing the collected electricity meter information with electric vehicle information regarding the registered transaction resource, and performing a transaction through a discharge instruction of the electric vehicle if a transaction is possible.
