Abstract:
Disclosed in an embodiment of the invention are a method and device for an optical transport network to bear a Flex Ethernet service. The method comprises: extracting a Flex Ethernet service from a Flex Ethernet service layer; performing data partitioning on the Flex Ethernet service to acquire at least two data queues, wherein each data queue carries a queue identifier; mapping the respective data queues to respective optical transport network containers, wherein the optical transport network containers comprise an optical channel data unit-k (ODUk) container or an optical channel data unit-flexible (ODUflex) container; and transmitting the respective optical transport network containers to an optical transport network. By adopting the embodiment of the invention, bandwidth utilization rate can be increased, thereby reducing construction costs for an optical transport network.
