Abstract:
Provided are a method and device for stably treating even low-concentration organic wastewater having many inorganic components and a CODCr of 1,000 mg/L or lower, such treatment performed using anaerobic treatment by the up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) method and aerobic biological treatment. The method for organic wastewater treatment is characterized in being a method for anaerobic treatment of low-concentration organic wastewater having a CODCr value of 1,000 mg/L or less and aerobic biological treatment of the anaerobically treated water, wherein solid-liquid separation is performed at a preliminary stage with respect to the anaerobic treatment if the volatile solids (VS)/suspended solids (SS) value of the low-concentration organic wastewater to be anaerobically treated is 0.5 or less, or if for a period of two or more consecutive days, the amount of gas generated by anaerobic treatment is no more than 1/2 the amount of gas normally generated.
