Abstract:

A method and a device for blocking external picking operation of a door surely by securing a thumb turn on the indoor side at a locking position and locking a lock itself. The device comprises a magnet provided on the open side end face of a thumb turn cover having one open side, wherein the thumb turn cover covering the thumb turn is attracted to a magnetic body stuck to the door face and rotary movement of the thumb turn cover is blocked by inserting a lock member, provided to advance retractably into the thumb turn cover from the open side end face thereof, into a hole made in the magnetic body. The thumb turn cover has an inner space formed to turn integrally with the thumb turn.
