Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for processing banknotes, whereby the banknotes are separated for processing. The aim of the invention is to separate banknotes for processing and to determine, if a multiple extraction is detected, how many banknotes are included in the multiple extraction. For this purpose, kind, especially currency and denomination, and/or condition and/or genuineness is determined for every banknote of the multiple extraction and associated with the respective banknote.
