Abstract:
A method by which an electronic device provides an avatar service, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: acquiring user speech voice and spatial information about the space in which a user has spoken; transmitting the acquired user speech voice and spatial information to a server; receiving, from the server, a first avatar voice response and an avatar expression sequence corresponding to first avatar voice information, which are determined on the basis of the user speech voice and the spatial information; determining first avatar expression data on the basis of the acquired first avatar voice response and avatar expression sequence; identifying a predetermined event while playing back a first avatar animation generated on the basis of the first avatar voice response and the first avatar expression data; determining second avatar expression data or a second avatar voice response on the basis of the identified predetermined event; and playing back a second avatar animation generated on the basis of the second avatar expression data or the second avatar voice response.
