Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a method for pumping out a liquid stored in a container capable of preventing the liquid from leaking through a clearance between a seal member installed around a follow plate and the inner peripheral wall of the container even if the sealing force of the seal member is decreased and easily pumping out the liquid without any skill. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In this method for pumping out the liquid stored in the container, the follow plate (10) is inserted into the container (P) of a pail can in which the low viscosity fluid (T) is stored, the seal member around the follow plate (10) is lowered by a lifting device in a state of being brought into contact with the inner peripheral wall of the container, a pump device (2) is driven in such a state that the follow plate (10) is seated on the surface of the stored liquid to pump out the stored liquid while the follow plate (10) is continuously lowered. A downward load by the self-weight of the follow plate (10) and the load of the pump device (2) is roughly kept in balance with an upward load by a spring balancer (38) to reduce the sealing force of the seal member (15) around the follow plate (10) against the inner peripheral wall of the container (P) so that the follow plate (10) can be lowered according to the amount of the liquid pumped out by the self-sucking force of the pump device (2).
